Summer is not over yet — at least one more blast of hot and humid weather is in the forecast.

While Mississauga and Brampton have been experiencing fall-like weather this week, summer will be back next week.

Temperatures were expected to hit 23 C today (Aug. 31) but stayed below 20 for the morning and will dip down to 9 C in the evening.

But all that will change on the weekend when the temperatures are forecast to reach highs of 30 and 31 C on Sunday and Monday  — making for a good chance to soak up the summer over the Labour Day weekend, according to Environment Canada.

But the hot weather will continue into the work week, and with humidex values, it will feel much hotter.

“Humidex values will reach into the high thirties or low forties,” Environment Canada notes in their forecast for Sept. 3 to 7. “Remember to stay cool and drink plenty of water.”

For those who like hot weather, enjoy it while you can, a cold front will eventually bring an end to the heat Thursday (Sept. 7) morning, Environment Canada says.
