It’s going to feel like 33 C this weekend in southern Ontario

It might be a good weekend to head to the beach as the heat and humidity are expected to continue in southern Ontario.

Temperatures could hit a high of 27 C but with the humidity, it is expected to feel like a steamy 35 C today (July 5) in southern Ontario.

There is also a 60 per cent chance of thunderstorms today.

The forecast suggests a slight temperature increase for Saturday with the high reaching 28 C in Mississauga, Brampton, Burlington, Oakville and Durham Region, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada. A high of 27 C is expected in Hamilton.

With the humidity it will feel like 32 or 33 C on Saturday.

Rain showers are also in the forecast for the afternoon.

Sunday could be the best day of the weekend with a high of 26 C, feeling like 33 C and a 30 per cent chance of showers.

The temperatures don’t cool down much in the evenings with lows around 17 or 18 C.

Forecasts show the heat continuing into early next week.
