It could be the hottest Oct. 3 ever in Mississauga and Brampton

Two temperature records could be broken this week in Mississauga and Brampton.
Much of southern Ontario is experiencing summer-like temperatures with humidex values forecast to reach 33 C today (Oct. 3), according to Environment Canada.
Without the humidex, the temperature is expected to reach 28 C in Mississauga and Brampton today and tomorrow. This is much warmer than normal for October.
The normal temperature is a maximum of 16 C and a minimum of 6 C, according to Environment Canada.
And if the temperature hits highs as forecasted, this area could see two record-breaking days, according to Environment Canada’s records.
The highest temperature for Mississauga and Brampton on Oct. 3 was 27.1 C set in 2001. The lowest was a chilly -5 C in 1974.
The highest temperature for Oct. 4 was 27.2 C in 1951 and the lowest -3.3 in 1974.
More normal temperatures are expected for the end of the week. It could be a cool and rainy Thanksgiving weekend.
