The city of Brampton continues to invite residents to attend the Brampton 2040 Speaker Series, to discuss the city’s future.
The series of four free events will feature ten international leaders who have contributed to the implementation of transformational changes in cities around the world.
It will also allow residents of Brampton to engage with renowned speakers and hear their ideas on how to move the city forward.
These events are part of a larger project, which aims to develop the Brampton 2040 Plan and will be the first of many events that will transform the vision from a concept into an actionable plan to guide the future growth of the city.
The Brampton 2040 Plan will guide the infrastructure needed to support a growing city, including transit, streets, parks, schools and recreational facilities as well as housing, offices and shops.
The next Speaker Series event will take place at The Rose, 1 Theatre Ln. on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. with doors opening at 6:00 p.m.
It will feature speakers Brad King, Vice President with Lord Cultural Resources and Gil Penalosa, Founder and Chair of the board of the successful Canadian non-profit organization 8 80 Cities, as well as Ambassador of World Urban Parks.
“The Brampton 2040 Speaker Series is an exciting event that will provide Bramptonians with the opportunity to be inspired by world-renowned leaders, as well as share ideas on what Brampton should become over the next quarter-century,” said Mayor Patrick Brown.
