‘Indecent act’ in car leads to arrest of known sex offender in Brampton, police say

Charges have been laid against a man with a history of sex crimes after allegedly driving around while committing an “indecent act” in Brampton, police say.

Peel Regional Police say officers were called to the area of Madronna Gardens and Montoya Gate near J.P. Hutton Park in Brampton on Friday.

Investigators say a man was driving around in a Honda Fit while “committing an indecent act.”

The following day, police say a 50-year-old man from Brampton was arrested and charged in relation to the investigation.

Peel Regional Police say Richard Walker, 50, of Brampton, has been arrested and charged with indecent act in a public place, and fail to comply with prohibition order.

The accused was held for a bail hearing in Brampton, police say.

Investigators have been light on details of what the alleged “indecent” act was but say there may be additional victims. Police have released a picture of the accused and the suspect vehicle and urge anyone with information to come forward.
