Hwy 401 closure due to motorcycle collision in Mississauga

Highway 401 is facing major delays after a collision between a car and a motorcycle shuts down eastbound lanes in Mississauga.
Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services reported the collision shortly after 6 p.m. today (Aug 27).
The accident happened on Highway 401 eastbound express lanes just east of Highway 403/410.
•Motorcycle vs car at 401 EB core lanes at the merge from the 403 EB core lanes
•Patient transported to trauma centre via emergency run
•Road closures in the area by OPP for investigation:

Multiple closures are being implemented by OPP on the highways.
Highway 401 eastbound from Highway 403 to Dixie Rd. is closed.
Highway 403 eastbound from Eastgate Pkwy to the 401 is closed.
Members of the OPP are in the area attempting to control traffic. Drivers should expect delays.
