The sunny and warm weather in southern Ontario is nearly over — a temperature drop is coming.
The temperature reached a high of 26 C at Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga on Monday and a high of 24 C is forecast on Tuesday, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada.
Enjoy that warm weather while you can. Southern Ontario is expected to see an over 10 C drop on Thursday.
“It’ll likely feel much cooler, especially after the extended stretch of warm and well above seasonal ‘open window’ weather,” the Weather Network states.
Wednesday’s forecast is for a high of 21 C but the lows could go down to 4 C. There is a chance of rain on Wednesday.
By Thursday, the cooler weather begins with highs of 10 or 11 C and a chilly low of 2 C in most of southern Ontario. Friday is expected to be much the same along with a 40 per cent chance of rain.
The weekend is also looking much cooler with a high of around 12 C on Saturday and only 8 C on Sunday.
These are normal temperatures for this time of year. The maximum normal is 12 C and lows are around 2 C, according to Environment Canada.
The cozy season may finally be starting.
