Huge festival coming to a Mississauga mall this weekend

Get ready for a cultural celebration when Carassauga, the massively popular festival of cultures, is officially kicked off this weekend at Dixie Outlet Mall in Mississauga.
The outlet mall, located at the QEW and Dixie Road, will kick off Carassauga in style this Saturday (May 7) with a wild celebration of culture: A parade with representatives from 23 countries, special cultural performances, giveaways, and arts and crafts.
The event is completely free and will run from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Carassauga’s in-person festival will take place on May 28 and 29 for a full weekend of live performances, food from 23 different cultures around the world, and a variety of kids’ activities.
Pavilions are located in various cultural and recreation centres in Mississauga, giving visitors the opportunity to “travel the world” without leaving the city:

Carassauga Festival is an incorporated non-profit volunteer community organization that has celebrated multiculturalism since 1986, and has since grown to become the largest multicultural festival in all of Canada.
