All residents are invited to join the celebration – admission is free and there’s something for people of all ages to enjoy, so you can bring the whole family out.
Look forward to these popular Canada Day traditions at Paint the Town Red 2024:
A festive parade with floats and marching bands

The parade starts at 11 a.m. sharp and will make its way down Lakeshore Road East from Stavebank towards Seneca Avenue (Lakeshore will be closed to regular traffic during the parade).
Prior to the parade, the floats will be judged and ribbons awarded to the best ones!
Live music from popular bands and emerging artists
Jam to live music all day long on the mainstage at Memorial Park, where local bands and even some up-and-comers will be taking the stage for a celebration of Canadian artists and music.
The lineup schedule is as follows (note that times are approximate and subject to change):

An acrobatic performance
Mississauga’s aerial circus school Cirque-It Work-It returns to Paint the Town Red again this year with a show that will be sure to thrill and entertain spectators. Watch Samantha and her team pull off the same kind of stunning, gravity-defying acrobatic feats that you’d normally only find under the big top.
The Kids Zone full of child-friendly activities
Paint the Town Red is a celebration that people of all ages can enjoy, including young children. The ever-popular Memorial Park Kids Zone features interactive games for the kiddos, arts and crafts, stilt walkers, face painting and more. Plus, be on the lookout few costumed superheroes and princesses who will be more than happy to stop for a picture.
Delicious food and colourful fireworks
All throughout the event, visitors can find a number of food vendors selling sweet and savoury eats at Memorial Park.
Ending off the Canada Day celebration in style is the stunning fireworks show, happening at 10:30 p.m. Bring a blanket to sit on and watch the sky light up with all sorts of vibrant colours.
