Hot and sunny weather in the weekend forecast for southern Ontario

Beach-goers will love this hot and sunny weekend forecast for southern Ontario.

After the remnants of Hurricane Beryl brought heavy downpours this week, the skies are clearing.

Today (July 12) is expected to be sunny with highs of 27 to 28 C in Mississauga, Brampton, Burlington and Oakville, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada.

It will also be hot but with a chance of showers in Hamilton and Durham Region.

But with the humidex at 35 C, it will feel much hotter.

The hot, humid weather continues on Saturday with a high of 29 C on Saturday and 30 C on Sunday.

There is a 30 per cent chance of showers and thunderstorms in Hamilton today and on the weekend. Most of the GTA also has a 30 per cent chance of showers on Sunday.

Enjoy the sunshine while you can, rain is back in the forecast next week.
