A driver reported an armed robbery after his vehicle was hit on Highway 410 in Brampton.
A red car struck the driver’s vehicle in the northbound lanes of Highway 410 just after 8 p.m. on Tuesday, OPP said in a post on X.
The driver stopped on the shoulder between Sandalwood Parkway and Mayfield Road to check the damage to his vehicle and exchange information with the other driver, police said.
At that point two to four people, one armed with what was believed to be a handgun and one with a knife, approached the vehicle and robbed the driver, police said.
“All suspects had their faces covered,” OPP said in a press release.
The suspects then returned to their vehicle and fled the scene leaving the victim with minor injuries, police said.
The victim then made his way off the highway and contacted police from a nearby business.
The suspect vehicle is described as a red car.
