Highrise fire under investigation in Mississauga

Fire officials are investigating a blaze that broke out late Thursday morning at a central Mississauga highrise apartment building.
An official with Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services told INsauga.com the fire started inside and was contained to a first-floor unit at the building located at 2570 Argyle Rd., just south of Dundas Street West and east of Mavis Road.
The fire broke out shortly after 11:30 a.m., the official said, adding there were no injuries reported in the blaze.
“The fire is now out and it’s under investigation,” the Mississauga fire official said, adding there was no structural damage to the building.
Mississauga fire officials remained on the scene Thursday afternoon investigating the cause of the fire.
