A Brampton driver has been charged with trafficking after officers a tow truck driver in possession of heroin, police say.

A Brampton driver has been charged with trafficking after officers found a tow truck operator in possession of heroin, police say.

The arrest happened on Oct. 29 when the OPP says officers received a tip about a tow truck driver operating in Peel Region who was “involved in criminal activity.”

The investigation led police to arrest a 30-year-old tow truck operator from Brampton who allegedly had an undisclosed quantity of drugs in his possession.

The charges indicate the accused was in possession of heroin at the time of the arrest.

The OPP says a 30-year-old tow truck driver from Brampton has been arrested and charged with possession of a schedule I substance – heroin for the purpose of trafficking.

The accused is scheduled to make a court appearance in Orangeville on Dec. 5.
