The weather this Halloween in southern Ontario won’t be too scary.

The annual night for trick-and-treating can be a fun night outdoors, if the weather cooperates.

Temperatures are starting to climb and could reach a high of 22 C on Thursday in Mississauga, Brampton, Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton and Durham Region, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada.

A mix of sun and cloud is expected during the day.

Unfortunately, clouds start to roll in later in the day bringing a 60 per cent chance of showers and lows down to 7 C overnight.

The Weather Network forecast says it will remain warm in the evening with a high of 19 C, feeling like 20 C. There is a chance of light rain.

There are also wind gusts of up to 48 km/h in the forecast.

So prepare trick-or-treaters for rain and watch out for wind gusts.

As always, be sure to follow safety tips from local police about staying visible and watching for traffic on the streets.
