Here’s how to get more affordable internet in Mississauga

People often think of Rogers or Bell when they think about big internet service providers (ISPs), but another major ISP is fighting for better internet in Mississauga, Brampton and all of Canada: CIK Telecom.
Founded in Toronto back in 2003, CIK Telecom’s mission is to provide affordable high-speed internet, home phone, TV, home security and mobility plans to as many Canadians as possible.
The internet provider offers a range of affordable plans and bundle plans to suit various needs. They also have high-value internet promotions, including limited time promotional bundles for internet, home phone and TV starting from just $44.99/month.
CIK Telecom is currently investing up to $300 million to build its own fibre internet infrastructure using the latest fibre optic technology, which is the fastest and the most stable form of internet. The goal is to provide their customers with lightning-fast internet speeds of up to 10Gbps, with unlimited usage or jacking up prices.
The new infrastructure, starting in Markham, is expected to expand to more parts of the country including Mississauga and Brampton.
“The current internet wholesale rates in Canada are way too expensive and unreasonable, which makes it very hard for third party internet providers to be able to compete fairly and provide affordable internet plans to Canadians,” said CIK Telecom CEO Jordan Deng, appealing to the CRTC to lower wholesale rates so that more Canadians can access affordable internet.
In our digitally connected world, and especially in the wake of a global pandemic that required us to move a lot of things online (such as classes and work meetings), CIK Telecom knows what’s most important to customers: Reliable high-speed internet, without breaking the bank.
For apartment and condo buildings, the ISP provides what it calls Fibre-to-the-Building (FTTB), based on CIK’s Super Fibre technology which is one of the fastest and most reliable internet services available. CIK will bring an optical fibre cable from the MTR (Main Telephone Room) to a fibre receptacle inside each suite, providing speeds of up to 1Gbps that allow users to stream in 4K, watch their favourite TV shows, and enjoy smooth online gaming. CIK has already connected many condo buildings in Mississauga to their CIK Fibre network.
CIK Telecom also values the high level of customer support they provide, and offers 24/7 support in nine different languages to ensure you’ll always have someone you can communicate clearly with.
Since its humble beginnings in 2003, CIK Telecom has quickly grown to become one of Canada’s largest independent internet service providers, with over 270,000 customers in Canada and more than 400 employees worldwide.
Mississauga and Brampton internet users who aren’t satisfied with their current service provider — or are interested in considering another option — are invited to check out what hundreds of thousands of people across the country are already enjoying with CIK Telecom.
