With summer officially here, the distribution process for benefit cheques to eligible Canadians is now in full swing. With June’s cycle of cheques already kicking off this month, it’s important to keep an eye out for what the future holds, as permitted individuals may still be eligible for another round of cheques in July.
The benefit cheque cycle for the month of July is as follows:

Purpose-built for Ontario-based individuals struggling to meet their basic needs, including access to food and shelter. This service is provided on behalf of the Government of Ontario and provides limited assistance in the event of an emergency.
This includes financial aid from the Ontario Works and social assistance programs.
As for eligibility, Ontarians must be 16 years of age and have Canadian citizenship, as well as be willing to engage in employment activities. Permitted access to these assistance programs will be based on household income, ownership, and family size.
Only one application is permitted per household.
These emergency access programs are available for those enduring financial hardship due to an ongoing crisis, such as COVID-19, natural disasters, situations involving abuse and eviction.
Next month’s payment date is July 31
