After Tuesday’s major storm brought severe floods to areas across southern Ontario, Environment and Climate Change Canada has released numbers that show how much rain hit different parts of the province during the rare and extreme weather.

The official summary splits the difference between July 15 and July 16, a two-day period from this past week that saw downpours uncharacteristic to Ontario this time of year.

While July 15’s rainfall was intense, July 16’s saw a majority of urban infrastructure grind to a standstill, as roads, homes, businesses and sewer systems all flooded — causing massive property damage and power outages throughout the region.

According to the ECCC report, areas throughout southern Ontario that saw the most rainfall were:

Location in Ontario Rainfall (mm)
Pearson International Airport (Mississauga) 122.9
Ilderton 114.0
London 104.0
Lynden 100.8
Norwich 91.2
Sarnia 84.9
Kitchener 82.3
