Summer weather is back and farmers’ markets are starting to open again in Mississauga for 2024.
Farmers’ markets offer fresh fruit and vegetables, baked goods and handmade goods.
There are several markets across the city and many open in June.
By supporting these markets, you’re also supporting your community – helping with local sustainability efforts, supporting local, which helps growers and vendors and encourages urban agriculture initiatives, the City of Mississauga says.
Here is a list of markets in Mississauga:
Mississauga Central Lions Club hosts two farmers’ markets in the city. The Mississauga Celebration Square Market (located in front of Mississauga Civic Centre) opens this year on Wednesday, June 5 and runs Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. until Oct. 30.
The Robert Speck Parkway location (in the parking lot adjacent to Shipp Drive) opens Sunday, June 2 and runs Sundays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. until Oct. 27.
Free one-hour underground parking is available when you shop at the market. Bring the receipt portion of the parking stub to the market staff.
This popular market opened Sunday, May 26 and runs Sundays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Small Arms Inspection Building at 1352 Lakeshore Rd. E. (at Dixie Road) until Oct. 27.

There is free parking next to the Small Arms Inspection Building.
Beginning Saturday, June 1, this market runs on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. until Oct. 5. This year, the market has moved to a new location in the Port Credit Library parking lot at 20 Lakeshore Rd. E.

This is an evening market in Streetsville with handcrafted products, artisanal foods and unique finds.
The Friday Markets will be held on the first Friday of each month in Streetsville Village Square at Queen Street South and Main Street, from June to September, from 5 p.m. to 9 pm.
The dates are June 7, July 5, Aug. 2 and Sept. 5.
This market typically opens in mid-June. The opening date is not yet listed for 2024. The market is usually open every Thursday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 2520 Eglinton Ave. W. at Erin Mills Parkway, across the street at the base of the Daniels Arc building.
