Heavy fog reduces flights at Pearson Airport in Mississauga

Officials at Pearson Airport in Mississauga say extremely foggy conditions that reduced the number of inbound flights last night may continue to affect all flights this morning (Nov. 3).
After another Environment Canada fog advisory was issued first thing this morning, Pearson officials took to social media to advise travellers and others that “Regional weather may impact operations this morning at Pearson. Please check your flight status with your airline before leaving for the airport.”
Last night, NavCanada reduced the flow of flight arrivals at Pearson due to the heavy fog, which presented potentially dangerous conditions for landing.
The fog advisory is in effect for Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville, Milton, Caledon and Halton Hills.
The advisory warns of the potential for near zero visibility as the fog settles over the region. It’s expected to last into the late morning.
On the roads, travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility. If visibility is reduced while driving, motorists are urged to slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
Hi @Bomag78, to maintain safe operations, the flow of arrivals has been reduced by NavCanada as a result of heavy fog affecting the region resulting in inbound flight delays. There is no"construction" at this time affecting runway operations.
