A new spot serving bowls and smoothies packed with nutrients to fuel the body has opened in Mississauga.

Heal Wellness, an acai bowl and smoothie shop dedicated to providing all natural superfoods, just celebrated a grand opening at their newest location, 207 Lakeshore Rd. E. in Port Credit.

The shop’s smoothie bowls are made with real fruit including nutrient rich superfoods like acai, pitaya, goji berries, spirulina, chia seeds, and hemp hearts.

“Each bowl is handcrafted in front of you with a variety of add-ons, including nut butters and protein powder,” according to the website.

Co-founders Jay Zuccato and Jesse Davidson opened their first shop in Hamilton in 2019. There are now locations in Milton, Burlington, Toronto and Guelph.

The two friends started the business with the intention of creating an accessible way for people to enjoy nutritious, smoothie bowls and smoothies, according the website.

“Their mission has always been to provide natural superfoods that help people fuel their bodies with the nutrients they need to thrive, stay healthy, and be energized,” the website states.

The Port Credit menu includes the classic Acai Bowl with acai berries, strawberries, blueberries, bananas, agave and oat mylk, along with toppings such as fresh granola, strawberry, blueberry, banana, coconut, vegan chocolate flakes and hemp seed.

Other choices include the Mango Bowl, Piña Colada Bowl, Cocoa Bowl and many others.

While the fruit base may have people thinking it’s a breakfast bowl, Heal Wellness says the smoothie bowls are also good for lunch or a snack.
