Head to Oakville park to watch free showing of Jumanji on Wednesday

The first of Oakville’s Movies in the Park series happens this week.

The Robin Williams adventure movie Jumanji is coming to Valleyridge Park, 2524 Valleyridge Dr., on Wednesday, July 10.

Local residents are invited to bring a picnic blanket and your favourite snacks to enjoy a free movie, plus family-friendly activities at a park near you.

Entry and family-friendly activities begin at 6:30 p.m. with the movie beginning around 8 p.m. closer to sunset.

“Come early to ensure you get a good spot to watch the main feature, have a chance to connect with friends and neighbours, visit the Oakville Public Library’s Library on the Go book bike, and meet Sparky and Oakville Fire crews to learn about how to be fire safe,” said a Town spokesperson.

In the event of rain, Movies in the Park may be moved to an indoor location.
