Have your say on the Brampton Queen Street Bus Rapid Transit project

Metrolinx is looking for feedback from residents on a proposed express bus line between Brampton and Vaughan.

The Queen Street-Highway 7 Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project is a proposed rapid transit line that would connect the two cities as part of the Metrolinx 2041 Regional Transportation Plan.

The project’s study area covers a 24-kilometre corridor along Queen Street and Highway 7, and would create an east-to-west transit line connecting the northwest and north-central sections of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.

Metrolinx is holding a virtual open house on Jan. 26 to introduce the project to residents and provide timelines on the work completed to date and work in progress. This is the first round of public engagement where project experts will be able to answer questions from the community.

Guests can register online and post question to be answered during the live stream. Attendees can vote on which questions they most want to hear answered by the Metrolinx team.

The Queen Street-Highway 7 BRT virtual open house runs on Jan. 26 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. For more information visit www.Metrolinx.com.
