Hate-motivated assaults and threats result in charges for Mississauga man in Toronto

A 27-year-old Mississauga man has been charged in connection with a suspected hate-motivated assault and threatening incident in Toronto.

Toronto Police received a call on Tuesday morning at 11:51 a.m. about an “unwanted” guest at an office building near Wellesley Street and Yonge Street.

Police say a man assaulted three people and uttered anti-Asian comments to them. One of the victims suffered minor injuries and one was also threatened.

Neil Sa, 27, of Mississauga, has been charged with assault (three counts) and uttering threats of death/bodily harm.

He’s scheduled to appear in Toronto court on Nov. 15.
