Hanging chairs recalled due to safety hazard in Mississauga and Brampton

Health Canada is notifying the public about a new recall involving hanging chairs which may pose a risk to those who sit in them.

The recall involves Lam Hiep Grey Hanging Egg Chairs, which are sold in a rope or wicker design.

It’s reported that the stands are improperly designed and may snap when the chairs are sat on, posing a fall hazard.

As of May 25, the company has received six reports of the chair stands breaking in Canada, with no reports of injuries.

Consumers who own these chairs are advised to immediately stop using them and return them to a Winners, HomeSense or Marshalls location for a refund.
