Hamilton man facing sex-trafficking charges in Brampton

A 31-year-old Hamilton man has been charged Friday (July 19) in connection with a sex-trafficking investigation involving a female under 18-years-old from the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

Peel Regional Police allege the man “exercised control” over several aspects of the girl’s life and forced her to perform sex while profiting from it.

Mohammed Karim Mohammed, 31, of Hamilton has been charged with:

  • Trafficking Persons Under 18 years old, Section 279.011 (1) CC
  • Receive Benefit from Trafficking, Section 279.02 CC
  • Communicate for Sexual Service, Section 286.1(1) CC
  • Material Benefit Sex Services, Section 286.2(2) CC
  • Procuring Person Under 18 years old, Section 286.3(2) CC
  • Householder Permit Sexual Activity, Section 171 CC
  • Assault Bodily Harm, Section 267 CC
  • Assault with Weapon, Section 267 CC

Mohammed was held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
