Gun seized and two people charged after traffic stop in Mississauga

A man and woman are facing a rash of firearms charges and a gun has been seized by police after a traffic stop in Mississauga’s east end on Saturday.
Peel Regional Police say officers with their Strategic Tactical Enforcement Program team pulled a vehicle over near Edwards Boulevard and Derry Road East sometime on Nov. 11.
According to police, officers spotted a firearm inside the vehicle, which was occupied by two people.
A man and a woman were arrested.
Marcus Ragobeer, 22, of Mississauga, is charged with:
- unauthorized possession of firearm
- knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
- possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
- possession of a prohibited device or ammunition knowing its possession is unauthorized
- occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was firearm
- possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
Jessica Lewis, 22, of Thunder Bay, is charged with:
- knowledge of unauthorized Possession of Firearm
- possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
- possession of a prohibited device or ammunition knowing its possession is unauthorized
- occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was firearm
Both were held for a bail hearing in Brampton court.
