Gun and drug charges for Toronto man after bust in Brampton

A Toronto man has been charged with gun and drug offences after an investigation into a suspicious vehicle in Brampton last night (May 3).
Around 10:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Peel Regional Police say officers were investigating a vehicle in the parking lot of a residential building in the area of Knightsbridge Rd. and Central Park Dr. in Brampton.
Police say they found a loaded 9mm handgun and drugs during the investigation and arrested a 25-year-old man from Toronto.
Police have charged Tahje Frederick, 25, of Toronto with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (two counts)
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
- Occupant of Motor Vehicle Knowing there was a Firearm
- Possession of Firearm, Contrary to Order
Police say the accused was held for a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton. None of the allegations have been proven in court.
