Grass fire burns up field near Brampton school

Firefighters battled a large grass fire near a Brampton school and business park over the weekend.
Just after 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, Brampton Fire and Emergency Services said that crews had been called to a field near Airport Rd. and Steeles Ave. East in Brampton for reports of a fire.
A photo shared by firefighters on the scene shows large plumes of smoke rising from the field and approximately a dozen firefighters battling the blaze.
A map of the area shows the fire took place near Ascension of Our Lord Secondary School and several businesses including logics companies and warehouses.
Firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control and no injuries were reported, BFES said. No cause of the fire has been released.
