A Goodlife Fitness in Brampton has closed after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

Roughly two weeks ago, Ontario announced that they would be entering Stage 3 of the province’s reopening plan, which included the reopening of gyms and fitness centres.

A tweet confirmed that GoodLife Fitness Brampton Gateway, which is located within Shoppers World Brampton at 499 Main Street South, closed on Saturday afternoon.

“We were recently informed of this and have closed this location until Aug 18 at 6 am. We have sent out notifications to all members (who have email) that were checked in during the time this individual was in the club,” Goodlife Fitness’ official account posted on Twitter. 

GoodLife Fitness reopened in the Region of Peel on July 31. 

On Aug. 14, the Ontario government announced that gyms and fitness facilities were allowed to welcome more patrons beginning Aug. 15.
