Taylor Swift fans demand intervention after ticket exploitation ran rampant in Ontario

GO Transit is adding train and bus service for Taylor Swift’s much-anticipated Toronto shows later this month.

For Lakeshore customers, there will be special service Nov. 14 to 16, as well as Nov. 21 to 23 on the Lakeshore West and East lines, Metrolinx said. That’s in addition to regular service.

Customers on the Milton line will be able to use late-night special service to get home on those same dates, the transit agency said.

And for Kitchener, Barrie and Stouffville customers, the last train of the night will be held until each concert is finished.

“The last trip of the night on the Kitchener, Barrie and Stouffville lines will be held by up to an hour to accommodate concert schedules. Customers are reminded to plan accordingly,” Metrolinx said for customers who may be downtown during concert days.

Go buses will also have special event service on some routes from Nov. 14 to 16, as well as Nov. 21 to 23.

“Some bus trips may be reduced and adjusted due to anticipated heavy traffic in downtown Toronto,” Metrolinx noted.

Metrolinx will have extra staff at Union Station and other busy GO stations during the Eras Tour to help customers get to where they need to be.
