Burlington has not been immune to the global technology outage.

As a result, the city reports that the software system that manages the city’s customer requests is currently not operating.

This means customers are not able to submit service requests to the city online.

Requests sent to [email protected] will be received but cannot be viewed by Service Burlington at this time.

Service Burlington is open for in-person customer service at City Hall, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

If your request is urgent, or time-sensitive, please call 905-335-7777 to contact Service Burlington. The City’s phone system is operating normally. Call volumes and processing times may be higher than normal at this time.

The technology problems are believed to have been initiated through a software update by the cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike which has affected Microsoft services.

The glitch has led to system failures for airlines, banks and broadcasters.
