Those planning a road trip in the last few days of summer will find some relief at the pumps.
Gas prices are expected to drop again. This comes after a Labour Day weekend dip in prices to around 147.9 cents.
The average price in Brampton and Mississauga is expected to drop three cents to 143.9 cents, according to Gas Wizard.
Prices have seen a steady decline since hitting a peak of 215.1 cents per litre in early June. The price drop is attributed to, in part, the falling price of crude oil and also because of lower U.S. refining margins.
Here are some of the cheapest prices in the area, according to GasBuddy:
Brampton
Petro-Canada (5 Sandalwood Pkwy. W.)
142.9 cents
Mississauga
Costco (1570 Dundas St. E.)
141.9 cents
