After weeks of high gas prices at the pump, drivers will finally get a bit of a break.
Earlier this month, gas prices jumped from 166.9 cents per litre to 170.9 on Aug. 10 and then 172.9 on Aug. 11.
And now, just before the long weekend as many people head out for one last summer getaway, there will be some relief for those needing to fill up before getting on the road.
Gas prices are predicted to drop by four cents to 167.9 cents per litre in Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton, Oakville, St. Catharines and much of the GTA on Wednesday (Aug. 30), according to GasWizard.ca.
Oshawa drivers, who already had lower prices than the rest of the GTA, will see gas prices drop four cents to 165.9 cents per litre.
Gas Wizard prices are predictions but are based on the 30-plus years of energy industry knowledge from Dan McTeague, former Member of Parliament and current president of Canadians for Affordable Energy, according to the website.
Of course, drivers can always find cheaper prices at some stations.
