Gas prices are expected to balloon to the highest rate this summer in Mississauga, Brampton and the GTA.
Just as people are enjoying the last few weeks of warm weather outings, they are being hit at the pumps with high prices.
The price at the pump was at 166.9 cents per litre this week but hit 170.9 today (Aug. 10) and is expected to go up another two cents to 172.9 tomorrow (Aug. 11) in Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton and the GTA, according to Gaswizard.ca.
Gas Wizard prices are predictions, but are based on the 30 plus years of energy industry knowledge from Dan McTeague, former Member of Parliament and current president of Canadians for Affordable Energy, according to the website.
McTeague’s predictions have proved to be accurate in the past.
Of course, there are always outlier gas stations that offer lower prices.
