Gas prices are going up considerably in Ontario

Gas prices are expected to go up for the fifth time this week in Mississauga, Brampton, Halton, Hamilton and other areas of southern Ontario.
Fuel prices were approximately 150.9 cents per litre for regular this past January before gradually rising to 153.9 cents in February.
Gas prices are expected to move upward with a 1.9 cent increase at midnight on March 17, totalling an 11 cent increase in less than a week.
According to GasWizard.ca, prices remained steady at 147.9 cents per litre from March 10 to March 12, then jumped to 151.9 cents, continuing to rise by an average of two cents over six days.
Gas Wizard prices are forecasts rooted in over 30 years of energy industry expertise from Dan McTeague, former Member of Parliament and current president of Canadians for Affordable Energy, as stated on the website.
Interestingly, during the same period last year (March 2023), gas prices in the region saw notable fluctuations, peaking at 152.9 cents per litre and a low of 139.9 cents.
Despite the anticipated fuel increase, there are gas stations offering lower prices.
