A busy neighbourhood road in Mississauga’s west end is expected to be closed for several hours after a gas leak was discovered in the area on Wednesday afternoon.
Peel Regional Police said in a post to social media all eastbound and westbound lanes on The Collegeway, between Hornbeam Crescent and South Millway, have been shut down to traffic in response to the emergency call.
Police said the leak was reported in the early afternoon and that they expect the impacted section of The Collegeway, just west of Erin Mills Parkway, to be closed “for several hours.”
They advise drivers to use alternate routes.
No injuries have been reported.
