The Summer Social at the Burlington Animal Shelter set for July 6 will not only give the public an up-close look at the shelter and the services provided, but a chance to meet adoptable animals.
Although same-day adoptions will not be taking place at the event, attendees, however, can book a follow-up adoption appointment. Residents can email [email protected] or call 905-335-7777 if interested in adopting, would like to set up an in-person appointment or have questions about any of the animals available for adoption.
Also at the event, you can tour the animal shelter and find out about programs such as microchipping, dog licensing, and how to wildlife-proof your property. There will be games for kids and refreshments will be served.
“This event is a great family-friendly opportunity to have fun and learn more about the roles and responsibilities of Animal Services,” said Adam Palmieri, Burlington’s manager of Bylaw Enforcement and Animal Services.
