A frost advisory is in effect for parts of Ontario this weekend.
The warm fall weather may be coming to an end as cooler temperatures are expected this weekend in southern Ontario.
Lows of around 7 C are expected in the GTA but communities to the north may see temperatures drop near the freezing mark this weekend, Environment and Climate Change Canada says.
The frost advisory is in effect for Saugeen Shores, Kincardine, southern Bruce County, Mount Forest, Arthur, northern Wellington County, Listowel, Milverton, northern Perth County, Wingham, Blyth and northern Huron County.
“Patchy frost is expected as temperatures drop to near the freezing mark tonight (Friday),” the advisory says.
Frost may damage some crops in frost-prone areas, the advisory warns. Frost could appear Friday night and into Saturday morning.
“Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas,” Environment Canada says. “Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.”
A frost advisory has been issued for parts of northeastern and southern Ontario.
