Chip lovers rejoice — Frito-Lay products are expected to finally return to Loblaw locations after a lengthy price-related dispute, sources indicate.

The dispute arose back in February between Loblaw and Frito-Lay Canada, the latter company being known for a variety of chip products including Lays, Doritos, Cheetos and Ruffles.

Frito-Lay spokeswoman Sheri Morgan confirmed there was a “temporary disruption” with one customer.

She says the company, which has faced unprecedented pressures from rising prices for things including ingredients, packaging and transportation, has made adjustments to its prices to offset these costs.

Loblaw spokeswoman Catherine Thomas says the grocer is “laser focused” on minimizing retail price increases and when suppliers request higher prices, Loblaw does a detailed review “to ensure they are appropriate.”

Sources now indicate that the dispute has been settled and Loblaws will stock Frito-Lay products again.

While details of the deal haven’t been officially disclosed, a source claims that the products will be back on shelves within the week.
