Friends, relatives identify family killed in Brampton fire

A Brampton family of five was killed in a housefire on March 28, 2022. The victims have been identified as 28-year-old Nazir Ali, 29-year-old Raven Alisha Ali O’Dea, and their three children Alia Marilyn Ali O’Dea, Jayden Prince Ali O’Dea and Layla Rose Ali O’Dea.

The family killed in a Brampton house fire has been identified.

According to friends and relatives, those who died were Nasir Ali, 28, and Raven O’Dea, 30. Their three children Layla Rose Ali O’Dea (11), Jayden Prince Ali O’Dea (8) and Alia Marilyn Ali O’Dea (6) also perished in the blaze on Conestoga Dr. that started around 2 a.m. this morning (March 28).

Another woman, identified as Bonnie O’Dea, the mother of one of the victims, is in critical condition at hospital while two others, tenants who lived in the basement, managed to escape without injuries.

The cause of the fire in now under investigation by the Ontario Fire Marshal.

This is the second fire to have claimed the lives of three children in Brampton this year. In January bothers Coen, Riley and Alex Bagan Overhold died in a fire on Ellis Dr.
