Parts of southern Ontario may get freezing rain overnight including Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton, Burlington and Oakville.
Environment Canada issued a special weather statement for possible freezing rain starting overnight and ending Saturday (Dec. 23) morning.
Patchy freezing rain could lead to light ice accretion or build-up, the weather forecaster warned.
The freezing rain amounts are expected to be minor but may still lead to icy and slippery conditions
“Icy and slippery conditions possible, particularly on untreated surfaces,” Environment Canada said in the statement.
Areas closer to Lake Ontario will get mainly rain as temperatures should be above the freezing mark.
But freezing rain warnings may be required for other areas.
