Peel Art Gallery Museum and Archives (PAMA) is full of creative and fun surprises, and now, you can enjoy Brampton’s art gallery and museum at absolutely no cost for a few days this summer.
PAMA is celebrating some of its upcoming events with free admission in coming weeks.
In May to celebrate Museum Month, Bramptonians can visit the gallery for free on Saturday May 19 and Sunday May 20.
During Museum Month, you can partake in family friendly activities like Family Fun Days, take a stroll and check out current exhibits, or even explore the old jail.
In June there will be two more free admission days.
On Saturday June 9 during CeleBrampton, PAMA will host free admission all day, including events happening on the front lawn of the gallery. Combined with programming at the Brampton City Hall Conservatory and across downtown Brampton, it’ll be quite the event.
Finally on Thursday June 21, to celebrate both the Summer Solstice and Nation Indigenous Peoples Day, there will be free admission from 5:30 – 9 p.m.
Visitors can enjoy We Are Here: The Story of Aboriginal People in Peel exhibit as well as join the drumming circle hosted by the Peel Aboriginal Network from 7-8:30 p.m.
There are many other exhibits happening at PAMA, including Welcome to Peel: A Celebration of our People and Stories and the always classic Behind Bars: The Story of the Peel County Jail. Both exhibits showcase different parts of Peel Region’s history.
PAMA is right across the street from Gage Park. It has many different exhibits and activities year round, so if you’re looking for a place to go for a date, a trip with the family or even just to take time and enjoy the art, it’s a fun option.
