Four people sent to hospital following two-vehicle crash in Mississauga

Four people have been transported to a local hospital where one of them has been taken to a trauma centre, following a two-vehicle crash in Mississauga this morning.
On Sunday (Jun. 18) shortly before 5:00 a.m., police responded to a crash in the area of Dixie Rd/Shawson Dr in Mississauga.
According to police, two men and two women were located at the crash site and taken in an ambulance by paramedics to a local hospital.
The extent of the injuries sustained by the occupants are unknown at this time.
As of 9:30 a.m., Dixie Rd from Shawson Dr to Britannia Rd have been closed off by police as they further investigate the incident.
Driver’s are urged to take alternate routes for the time being.
Police have not mentioned when the roads in the area will be open to motorists again.
UPDATE:
One of the women has been admitted to a trauma centre. It is unknown what the status of her injuries are.
