four brampton teens charged two home invasions car thefts

Four Brampton teens are facing charges in connection with two home invasions and a car theft.

Peel police allege that on Oct. 10, four suspects forced their way into a home in Brampton’s Williams Parkway and Creditview Road area and demanded that the homeowner turn over the keys to their vehicle. Police allege the suspects sprayed an “unknown substance” at the victim before stealing the vehicle, leaving the homeowner with minor injuries.

Police also allege that on Oct. 12, the same suspects forced their way into a home in the same area and demanded keys to the vehicle in the driveway. Police say the suspects were not able to steal anything and fled to a nearby vehicle that was reported stolen.

The victim was not injured.

“As a result of the quick and coordinated efforts of investigators from the Central Robbery Bureau and Tactical Unit, as well as assistance from the Provincial Carjacking Joint Task Force (PCJTF), all four suspects were located inside a stolen vehicle in the area of Brandon Gate Drive and Keenan Crescent, in Mississauga,” police alleged in a news release.

“The suspects were arrested, and property related to both invasions, including a metal pipe and two canisters of capsaicin-based spray were located and seized.”

Police say three 17-year-old males and one 16-year-old male, all Brampton residents, were charged with robbery, wearing a disguise and possession of stolen property.

All were held for a bail hearing.

The charges have not been proven in court.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact investigators with the Central Robbery Bureau at (905)453-2121 ext. 3410.
