Food truck festival rolls into Brampton for Labour Day long weekend

There will be sweet treats and savoury creations available to try this Labour Day long weekend as dozens of food trucks roll into town for the return of the Brampton Food Truck Festival.

The food fest starts on Friday and will run for three days with some 40 food trucks from across Canada serving up “some of the best food from around the country,” Canadian Food Truck Festivals says of the Brampton event.

With vendors selling boutique poutine, jerk chicken, cookies, cheesecake, wraps and lots more, organizers say the event in Brampton’s Chinguacousy Park is something local foodies don’t want to miss.

Admission into the festival is free, and on top of plenty of eats to try the event will feature free games for kids, eating challenges, and musical performances including The Hip Experience, a Tragically Hip tribute band.

The Brampton Food Truck Festival runs in Chinguacousy Park on Friday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., and from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
