Food, music, and entertainment happening all summer long in downtown Brampton

Summer’s here and there’s a ton of fun events happening and things to do in downtown Brampton, making the city’s downtown core a hot spot destination for residents and tourists alike.

Here’s what to look forward to:

Brampton Farmers’ Market and other community markets 

The beloved Brampton Farmers’ Market is back for another year, transforming the downtown area into a hub for local vendors, farmers and artisans to sell freshly picked produce, handcrafted goods and various other items. Running from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday until October 7, vendors will set up shop in Gage Park and on Wellington Street West from George Street to Main Street South. In addition to the weekly farmers’ market, other community markets are popping up as well including the Midsummer’s Eve Market on June 23^rd. Stop by to browse interesting finds while supporting the local community!

Live music and fun events

Get your head swaying and body moving to some live music under the sun. The free Summer Music Series will return for regular concerts every Thursday, Friday, Saturday in various locations (including Garden Square, Vivian Lane, Gallery 35 and more). From pop to hip hop to country, singalongs, R&B, and more, experience a new genre of music and vibe each week performed by emerging talent and established headliners from across the GTA.

There’s also a wide variety of fun events for the whole family being planned throughout the season, from free summer movies at Garden Square to cultural exhibits and activities at PAMA! Check the downtown event calendar for more info on everything that’s happening.

Some of the best stores and restaurants in Brampton

The community markets aren’t the only place to shop – even with some ongoing construction happening, downtown Brampton is still open for business with a huge variety of popular local shops and restaurants along Main Street and throughout the downtown core. From fashion to gifts to beauty, there’s something for everyone here!

If you’re feeling hungry for some delicious food, downtown Brampton is home to over 35 restaurants covering a wide range of cuisines to satisfy every possible craving. And while you’re in the area, stop by the Downtown Brampton Food District located at 27 Main St. where a variety of seasonal food trucks will offer even more savoury eats and sweet desserts for the summer.
