Heavy snow in parts of Western Canada has caused several flight delays Tuesday at Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga.
Pearson officials said in a post to social media on Tuesday afternoon that two flights scheduled to arrive in Toronto from Regina, Saskatchewan have been delayed by a winter blast out west.
They added one of two scheduled departing flights headed to Regina from Pearson has also been delayed.
Regina International Airport officials said the November onslaught of snow has impacted flight schedules into and out of that city.
“Due to ongoing winter weather conditions at (Regina International Airport), flight status is subject to change on short notice. Please check your flight status with your airline before heading to the airport,” airport officials said in a post to social media.
Pearson officials also urge travellers and those picking up people on board inbound flights to check the status of their flights ahead of time.
As much as 20 centimetres of snow — more in some areas — has fallen in and around Regina as that area remains under a snowfall warning from Environment and Climate Change Canada.
