The crew of a Porter Airlines flight declared mayday before landing at Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga on Wednesday.

A spokesperson for Porter told INsauga.com that the emergency call was made on flight 2704 from Ottawa to Toronto.

“The crew received an indication that led them to follow standard procedures by declaring a mayday,” the spokesperson said.

Further details as to what led to the incident haven’t been released.

But preliminary inspections indicate that there are no issues with the plane, the spokesperson said.

“Passengers deplaned on the tarmac after landing safely and were bussed to the terminal fairly quickly,” they added.
