First UNIQLO store opening in Brampton

Popular Japanese clothing brand UNIQLO is continuing to expand with new locations in the GTA, including their very first Brampton store at Bramalea City Centre.

The spacious 12,000 sq. ft store opens at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 18, with a special grand opening event that includes a free $10 UNIQLO gift card for the first 100 people to line up! Shoppers also get to enjoy a live Taiko drumming performance, free coffee from Two Bears, and donuts from Isabella Mochi’s Donuts.

For the full opening weekend, shoppers will be able to take their chance at the Garapon wheel to win free prizes, and score a limited-edition UNIQLO tote bag with any purchase of at least $100 (before tax, while supplies last).

Exclusive to the new store, shoppers will find UNIQLO’s UTme! t-shirt and tote bag featuring beautiful Brampton-inspired designs. These limited-edition products are a collaboration with local Brampton artists, with designs focusing on the city’s vibrant flowers, heart lake, and the community itself.

For those unfamiliar with UNIQLO, the international clothing brand is best known for their stylish and casual LifeWear made with high-quality materials. Originally founded in Yamaguchi, Japan in 1949 as a textiles manufacturer, they’re now a global brand with over 2,400 stores around the world.

As we get further into the chilly autumn, now’s the perfect time to browse UNIQLO’s Fall/Winter Collection: clothing for men, women and kids that’s designed to help you stay warm while keeping your clothes comfortable and easy to move around in.

Some of the highlights of this collection include the 100% Cashmere sweaters and the Ultra-Light Down (warm, packable jackets perfect for layering or travel) made with their signature HEATTECH, an innovative fabric that uses the moisture on your skin to generate heat.

Additionally, for any pair of pants $20 or above (excluding athletic wear and sweatpants), UNIQLO provides free hemming services to ensure pant lengths fit the customers’ unique measurements. The store also offers complementary in-store pick-up for orders made from their online store, which offers a full variety of products, styles, colours, and even extended sizes that are not available in-store.

The new Brampton location will follow up on the recent success of their massive new store at Mississauga’s Heartland Town Centre.
