First night market brings music and festivities to Mount Pleasant in Brampton

Nighttime is the right time for food, shopping and music in Brampton when a new night market launches in the city this week.

The Mount Pleasant Night Market will bring together performers, retailers, craftworkers, food venues and more on Thursday for the inaugural kick-off of the new event that will run again later in the summer.

With food like a Korean barbeque truck, fresh desserts, and Greek cuisine, and many vendors and shops to browse, the free event promises “free kids’ activities and live entertainment while having an evening out with family and friends.”

“Get ready for an evening filled with delicious food, live entertainment and free kids’ activities at Mount Pleasant Village Square,” the city says.

“Attendees can indulge in street food, sweet treats, unique local fare and gourmet delights,.”

Other local vendors for the first Mount Pleasant Night Market include Peruu Creations, the Nirvana Wellness Centre, Lush Flower Boutique, and Star Dairy Bar.

Kids activities will include the Ready, Set Play activation and free face Painting with Twinkles the Clown, while music will be managed by local performer DJ Musically In Motion.

The first Mount Pleasant Night Market of the season runs this Thursday and again on Aug. 15 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Village Square, located at 100 Commuter Dr. in Brampton.
